We are in the final days before we leave for Italy and I just can’t believe it is already here! Last week all of my girlfriends were in town to help me celebrate one last time before the big day, and let me tell you, we had an absolute BLAST.

I had my friends from all walks of my life here in Louisville with me – childhood, high school and college, plus my younger sister. It can be difficult to get such a large group of people from different stages of your life together, but everyone was getting along great, the champagne was flowing, and there was enough laughing to last me a lifetime.

I think it speaks to how wonderfully fun my friends are, because the weather could not have been any worse for the weekend – and yet we had the most amazing time! We went to the Kentucky Oaks on Friday and it was rainy with a high in the 50s. Still, we put on our dresses and braved the cold and rain. And we had the time of our lives betting on ponies, drinking Oaks Lillies, and making new friends. Luckily our seats were covered so we were shielded from the rain and partially from the cold! Before we knew it, the fillies had raced (and I won — $17! Big money) and we were heading home.

I wore this white dress because I wanted something sexy, yet classy. I didn’t get to show it off, because I had to layer this Chicwish coat over it – but that was okay because the Oaks colors are pink! I did get to show off these amazing Stella & Dot tassel earrings that paired perfectly for the occasion and these INC heels (that I last talked about here) added the perfect pop of color. All-in-all, it was fantastic time at the races.

Saturday we all went on a distillery tour, came back and played games, then headed out for the night. I never did find a white jumpsuit (and trust me, I ordered a ton of them!), but I fell in love with this fitted white dress for a sultry look with a layered necklace – I am loving the layered necklace trend right now. We danced the night away downtown. Sunday was here too soon and we all had to say our goodbyes, but we all have been texting about the weekend ever since!

A huge thank you to all my girlfriends for traveling from near and far to celebrate with me. It was the perfect “final” outing. If you have a bachelorette party coming up, I picked out of my favorite white looks, here, here, here and here.
